Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using fileprocessor.net. By using our tools, you agree to be bound by these conditions.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website, you agree to these rules. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
By accessing or using fileprocessor.net (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you do not have permission to access the Service.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
2. Local Processing & Privacy
We process everything in your browser. We never see, copy, or store your files on our servers. You keep 100% ownership of your data.
The Service is designed as a client-side architecture application. This means that all file modifications, conversions, and processing utilize WebAssembly and JavaScript executed entirely within your local web browser.
When you select a file to be processed by our Service:
- The file is loaded into your device's local memory (RAM).
- No data is transmitted over the internet to our servers.
- We retain zero access, rights, or visibility into the contents of the files you process.
For more detailed information regarding data handling, please review our Privacy Policy.
3. User Conduct
Even though the Service operates locally on your machine, you agree not to use the Service interface to facilitate illegal activities. You are solely responsible for the files you process and ensure you have the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions to modify them.
You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the Service's source code, hosting infrastructure, or WebAssembly modules.
4. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (excluding user-provided files) are and will remain the exclusive property of fileprocessor.net and its licensors. The Service utilizes various open-source libraries compiled to WebAssembly; respective licenses for those underlying technologies apply where mandated.
You retain all your ownership rights to your files before, during, and after processing.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The site is free and provided "as-is". If a tool crashes your browser or corrupts a file, we aren't responsible. Always keep backups of your original files.
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We provide no warranties, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location.
- Any errors or defects will be corrected.
- The results of using the Service will meet your specific requirements.
Because processing occurs locally, performance heavily depends on your device's hardware constraints (e.g., CPU power and available RAM). We are not liable for browser crashes caused by memory exhaustion during the processing of highly complex or large files.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall fileprocessor.net, nor its developers, partners, or suppliers, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
